Job Description

This position is a technical sales lead aligned to the Business Unit Sales head. Responsible for advising and influencing end user customers, ISVs, OEMs, partners and scale engines. Responsible for understanding the business use case and technical merits of a solution and co-owning relationships with customer/partner decisionmakers to influence the customers purchasing decision. Works with all audiences to accelerate adoption of our platforms and document gaps/provide feedback to solution stakeholders including: solution architects, vertical/horizontal business leaders and partners, OEMs, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, and ISVs & service providers. Daily activities will include providing direct technical assistance to customers and partners, interfacing with Sr. technical decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.

As an Internet of Things Technical Sales Specialist, you will focus on FPGA Edge solutions for the vertical and horizontal markets served by Embedded Acceleration Division, and the Internet of Things Group. You will focus on both chip down strategic designs as well as deal wins with ecosystem partners and end user consumption accounts. In addition, you will work across SMG sales organizations throughout the world to deliver architectural recommendations & deployments. Furthermore, build an eco-system which provides various alternatives for our customers in terms of function and cost concerns.

This role will collaborate closely with the spectrum of embedded customer value chain including but not limited to system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, ISVs & service providers, integrators, resellers, distributors, ODMs, OEMs, & MNCs. The success of this role depends on building and maintaining strong relationships with peer software and hardware architecture teams, design teams and system integration teams.

The ideal candidate will need to understand software architecture specifications and solution designs for the intelligent edge. Direct experience in system design and/or FPGA design are required. Frequent cross-region travel may be required.


Minimum Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science/Engineering, EE or related technical field
    • Require knowledge of SOC system architecture, including HW and SW
    • Require knowledge of embedded Linux, device drivers, protocol stacks, system software
    • 5 years+ of working experience in system design
    • 3 years+ of working experience at/with System Integrators and end customers, playing specific roles, such as system architect, system analyst, system designer, or programmer
    • Direct field experience in working with end customers.
    • Able to setup and demonstrate system solutions
    • Familiar with Internet of Things ecosystem partners

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience on Hardware and Software Environments, as well as heterogeneous systems environments
    • Self-starter with a positive can do attitude, experiences working in a multicultural environment, ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally & in writing to executive staff & technical staff
    • Experience working on large government CAPEX projects is preferred
    • Prior account ownership experience is a plus
    • Familiarity with our customers and products
    • Masters preferred; MBA preferred
