Position

We are seeking a junior developer to join our Quantitative Strategies / Technology team. This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer and is based in New York.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and further develop existing applications (Java/Spring/Hibernate/Vaadin)
  • Source data and design data capture (SQL Server/MongoDB)
  • Use in-house analytic platforms and libraries to value and bid portfolios
  • Evaluate and integrate third party analytics and data
  • Help with migration of apps from on-premise onto AWS

 

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with databases and OO programming
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present data effectively
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership and accountability; when necessary, capable of working independently, with little need for supervision
  • Excellent team player; highly professional, respectful and honest. Open to ideas, willing to try new things and do what it takes to get the job done well
  • Results oriented with ability to understand and analyze problems, apply critical thinking
