Job Title: Software Tester (Functional and Non-Functional)

Salary: Up to 50k, (dependent on experience)

Type: Permanent

Location: London

We are a global leader in AI-powered audio processing technology. We work with many of the world's largest banks, major consultancies and government agencies.

This is an exciting role for a candidate with software testing experience to join a small organisation (23ppl) to help grow the software testing framework. The successful candidate will also have experience of load and performance testing and be able to understand the architecture to a level where they can identify issues. It may suit someone who has previous experience as a software developer. We require candidates that are able to understand the architecture for performance and load tests.


The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all products are tested for real world scenarios. The software utilises a number of components in a distributed architecture which can be optimised for load and performance. The successful candidate will be testing the product to find the optimal configuration in a number of deployment scenarios and co-ordinate with developers how to improve the software.

  Software Tester Non-Negotiable:

  • Understanding of Distributed Architectures
  • Software development experience spanning 2 languages
  • Experience with manual and automated testing
  • Ability to design and implement automated testing suites (including web-based applications)
  • Experience with automated build and deployment/continuous integration
  • Katalon, Jenkins, SonarQube (or equivalents) and unit test in Java and Python, Linux
  • Software development experience spanning 2 languages


  • Experience of the following would be beneficial: Java, Python, .NET, JavaScript, PHP, Bash, MySQL, Perl.

You will also need to be

  1. Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  2. Happy working independently and in a small team (3-6 developers)
  3. Comfortable with all aspects of software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
  4. Have the right to work in the UK
