Role: UXD Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

 

Purpose of the Role:

Be the voice of user experience within a digital squad. Collaborate with the digital product owner to understand the user stories and then design great digital experiences that deliver the required outcomes (improved digital NPS, decrease customer effort and drive revenue/margin). Create high quality digital UX and design artefacts that are ready for developers to start work on. Conduct research with user groups to ratify design assumptions. Think Omnichannel and collaborate effectively with our operational teams to ensure that our digital customer journeys complement our physical customer journeys.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

User experience and design

  1. Collaborate with the digital product owner to understand the user stories and then design great digital experiences that deliver the expected benefits in terms of beneficiary and organisational value. (Revenue, margin, digital NPS, reaching new audiences)
  2. Plan, budget for and execute moderated and unmoderated user research events.
  3. Bring to life ideas and concepts by creating clickable prototypes.
  4. Create artifacts like marked-up wireframes and full digital designs to allow developers to work at a good velocity.
  5. Work collaboratively within the squad using the team expertise to create amazing digital experience.
  6. Build a detailed knowledge of how customers use your digital product. Feed user stories into your product owner for ongoing development.
  7. Test and learn mindset. You use MV testing capabilities to prove the value of your ideas before investing in developing them fully.

Customer Experience:

 

  1. Working with the customer experience manager to ensure clear customer journeys are defined for digital journeys.
  2. Collaborate with Operational Development and Central Ops to ensure that any changes to the digital journeys complement the physical journeys existing in our hospitals and wellbeing centres.
  3. Regularly review the Digital insights available through analytics tools i.e., Google analytics, online surveys, session replays. Remove customer pain points to deliver NPS/customer effort improvements.
  4. Collaborate with the digital product owner on all the above

 

Efficient development:

 

  1. Collaborate with UX community to create and maintain a library of reusable elements that have been user tested to ensure high performance.

 

  1. Drive reuse within your squad to increase speed to market and give a more consistent experience to users by making sure you are aware of existing designs and components i.e., templates, buttons etc that have already been built.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Essential

 

  1. Demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience in the field of User experience and digital design
  2. Exceptional technical skills allowing the creation of high-quality clickable prototypes, wireframes and digital designs
  3. Experience in UX research
  4. An accomplished, credible and respected professional with well-developed stakeholder management, communication, influencing and negotiation skills gained in a complex organisation.
  5. Strong analytical and conceptual reasoning skills, able to communicate well in writing and verbally at all levels.
  6. Strong, credible impact, with a demonstrated capability to resolve conflict; build, maintain and utilise relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimum business goals.
  7. Collaborative working style with a clear and relentless focus on delivering outcomes.
